Slow Cooker Chili

This recipe has been adapted for preparing in a 6-qt slow cooker


2 lbs lean ground beef
1 lb Italian Sausage
1 onion, finely diced
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
2 cans (15 oz each) tomato sauce
12 oz. tomato paste
2 cans (16 oz each) Joan Of Arc Spicy Chili Beans
2 tsp. Louisiana Hot Sauce
1 tsp. seasoning salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. ground cayenne pepper
2 Tb. Chili 9000 (from Penzey’s Spices)
1 1/2 cups water

1. Brown and crumble ground beef and sausage; drain
2. Put meat and all the other ingredients in a 6-qt slow cooker
3. Cook on low for 6-8 hrs.
